Award-winning non-executive Director Clive Bawden, founder of BoardSecure, has been confirmed as the keynote speaker on a workshop on governance structures for creative businesses as part of the West Midlands Combined Authority Creative Scale-up programme.
The workshop will be held on Thursday 6th August online, and will focus on practical tips for creative business founders on thinking about their governance structure, ownership structure and how to manage officers and directors.
"I am delighted to have been asked to give this workshop." said Bawden. "I have spent a good deal of my professional career working with creative industry founders, either as a trustee (for example at the CBSO and Birmingham Museums Trust) or a non-executive (for example Warwick Music Limited). Solving the pain I saw in many of the specific scenarios we will address contributed to setting up BoardSecure after all to solve them. I look forward to bringing this real-world experience to this workshop."
